The Sanifrutta apples come from a cultivation area that is between 400 and 800 meters above the level of March.

The main cultivars are the Royal Gala (with which new clones of the variety are also grouped), the Red Delicious (which includes the predominant variety, the Jeromine, followed by new clones of the red apple), the Granny Smith and to follow the group Fuji and the Golden DeliciousThe Gala, Red Delicious and Fuji group adhere to the Protected Geographical Indication “Mela Cuneo Rossa PGI”.

Crimson Snow is the new Marchchio apple tree registered worldwide and present in Sanifrutta since 2013, following a partnership with the Kiku Variety Management nursery, (Trentino Alto Adige).

Apples in Marchio Crimson (from the English "purple red") Snow (from the English "white pulp") have Australian origin, have a well-colored purple-red skin and a slow oxidation white pulp. They have a unique and balanced taste, crunchy and juicy. The harvest takes place in the first days of November.

Born mostly from the need for an alternative crop to kiwifruit following PSA, Crimson Snow is now a very attractive apple among producers due to its characteristics: less chance of bruising, higher percentage of first-class quality, easy handling, large size and self-thinning.
