OUR STORY

1989

Agricultural cooperative is born Sanifrutta on the initiative of a group of producers from the Verzuolo area, who united to gather the fruit-growing tradition of the area and bring a significant quantity of quality products to the market. The cooperative began its activities in Costigliole Saluzzo having two cold rooms and a weight.

1997

Construction of a new warehouse used for apple product processing in Verzuolo.

2003/2004

The most significant investments are concentrated in this two-year period: six new controlled atmosphere cold rooms, three loading ramps and two anti-cells are built. In addition, the yard at the back of the warehouse is expanded to be used for bins storage.

2004

Sanifrutta obtains the first EurepGap certification for the Costigliole Saluzzo and Verzuolo warehouses along with five contributing farms.

2007/2008

These are years of major investment in facilities and machinery in the cooperative's two plants. Sanifrutta achieves the first GlobalGAP certification under option 2, along with 18 contributing farms.

2009/2011

Sanifrutta expands its facilities and sets up new pre-calibration and packaging lines at the Verzuolo plant for apple product processing. The Company Quality System is further implemented, with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 22000:2005 certifications obtained.

2012/2013

Sanifrutta joins the Crimson Snow club, a new “limited edition” apple brand (from English crimson: “purple-red skin” and snow: “white flesh”). A photovoltaic system is installed on part of the roof of the Costigliole Saluzzo plant.

2013/2014

The Costigliole Saluzzo facility is further expanded with the construction of a new shed used for temporary packaging storage and the installation of 12 new cold rooms.

2014/2015

Sanifrutta enhances its quality system by integrating the aspect of Workplace Safety on the lines of BS OHSAS 18001:2007.

2015

Joinfruit an Organization of Producers has been formed together with other companies in the area. The goal is to create a network from the commercial point of view, counting on important quantities and greater varieties of products offered, and also from the point of view of the production base, which will be able to count on an organization that has a clear business plan for the optimization of the resources needed by the production realities.

2019/2020

Major expansion for the Verzuolo warehouse: 10 cells are built to store fresh product. Packaging facilities are also expanded and modernized.

2020/2022

Sanifrutta is growing both in terms of turnover and human value: creating synergies with collaborators and partners is of fundamental importance for the development of a company that is always alive and constructive.

2021/2025

Started our major industrial expansion plan. The construction of a new building for apple processing and packaging begins in the town of Costigliole Saluzzo. With this investment, Sanifrutta intends to create a facility necessary to improve product quality and, above all, to be able to meet market demands, which, never before as in these times, impose very short deadlines for supplies of products with specific qualities and packaging.

2022/2024

La sede di Costigliole Saluzzo viene ampliata con il magazzino automatico e la realizzazione di un nuovo complesso di uffici. Nel 2024 è stata avviata una nuova collaborazione con CIV per la sperimentazione esclusiva della mela Lillibet/CIVM35* in Italia.
